The audio track for Bigscreen Beyond will be shipping soon

The Bigscreen Beyond comes with a soft headband and a USB-C port for audio devices.

In 2023, the company promised to release a rigid headband with built-in headphones in the same year, but was unable to keep this promise. A June 2023 delivery date was also missed.

Bigscreen has now announced that shipping will begin in mid-August. However, it may still be a few weeks before all customers get their hands on the audio belt. “Based on current pre-order volumes, we will be able to manufacture and ship Audio Strips for all orders received so far in early October,” Bigscreen wrote in late June.

The large display promises a rigid strap and an adjustable dial that makes it easy to find the perfect fit. The in-ear headphones are said to offer high-end audio and powerful bass. They are designed and manufactured by American headphone manufacturer Koss.

The audio tape costs $130 including VAT and shipping.

Bigscreen Beyond: an ultra-light SteamVR headset with micro OLED displays

Bigscreen Beyond is the world’s lightest and smallest PC VR headset, weighing only 127 grams (without strap). It is based on SteamVR tracking and requires base stations and controllers, which are sold separately.

Users need to scan their face with an iPhone and get a face interface with a perfect fit. The IPD value is fixed at the personal interpersonal distance.

In terms of technology, the Bigscreen Beyond features a micro OLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 2,560 pixels.

Bigscreen Beyond was launched in 2023. The first units started shipping in September 2023, but Bigscreen had major problems with production capacity, which led to delays for many customers. Currently, delivery time is still 6-8 weeks.
